On Day 12 you inherit a mock program: a DND-unique avionics change to a foreign military type design, claimed as covered by the original Type Design Examination. The certification basis was never re-established for the DND-unique changes — and the compliance matrix has a hole exactly where the system safety assessment should be.
Working from the TAM's own certification-basis rules, you rebuild the basis under a recognized military code, classify the design change, and defend a Means of Compliance for every affected clause — the same exercise a TAA project officer runs when a fleet program goes sideways.
